Popup overview — scan results with priority indicators
Do you know what your Chrome extensions can actually access? Most people don't.
Extension Permission Monitor scans your installed extensions, explains sensitive permissions in plain English, and shows you which ones deserve a second look — all without sending your data anywhere.
Built for
Developers, power users, and IT support teams who want clarity over what their extensions can access.
Problem solved
Chrome users feel browser slowdown or have privacy concerns but don't know which extension is responsible or what data each one can access.
Local scan of all installed extensions with one click, plus an automatic daily background check
Permissions explained in plain language — no cryptic API names
Heuristic review priority based on access breadth and capabilities
Enable or disable extensions with a confirmation step and undo action
24-hour scan history stored locally
Search, filter, and sort by priority, status, or permission count
Your extension list never leaves your device
Scans run entirely in your browser. Your extension inventory, notes, and scan history are not transmitted to any external server. There are no ads, analytics, or browsing-history collection. When you activate Lifetime Pro, only your license key and fixed product identifiers are sent to Fityra for validation — no extension data is included in that request.
Why this extension requests each permission.
management
Required to read the list of installed extensions, their permissions, host access, enabled status, and version information. Also used to enable or disable extensions at the user's explicit request with a confirmation dialog.
storage
Required to persist scan results, review history, watchlist labels, private notes, preferences, permission snapshots, and license status in Chrome's local storage. No data is synced externally.
alarms
Required to run the same local permission scan roughly once a day in the background, so permission changes are caught even if the user never reopens the popup. No new data leaves the device.
host permission: https://extensions.fityra.app/*
Used exclusively to validate a Lifetime Pro license key when the user submits one. No extension inventory or scan data is sent to this endpoint.
